Re: GI Bill - OTJ and Apprenticeship Benefits

Does this include doing the academy as well for a department? ie getting back pay etc It definitely covers academy time, but I don't know whether they do any of it retroactively. It wouldn't seem necessary, as a qualifying military vet can collect moving forward while on the job until the benefit r...

Re: Correctional Police Officer - NJDOC Exam

If your referring to your 2016 LEE score, it will stay active until the new 2019 LEE scores are released. Until the NJCSC indicates otherwise,...

2019 NJ LEE Information

With the NJDOC announcement being posted on December 1, 2018, that leaves the very distinct possibility that the 2019 LEE is could to be announced sooner than expected. Since the NJCSC uses the same exam for NJDOC and the LEE, they would be creating an incredible headache for themselves (which they ...

Re: Asking for help

Do you have to go back to school full time? Can you take a couple classes here and there for now and make it work that way? IMO, you go to school so you can get a good job, but if you’re going to get the job soon, work on your degree at your own pace since it doesn’t really matter to have it ASAP a...

My department is a very small department and they haven't had a vet file for this benefit before so I've been calling the VA and trying to apply for it myself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks *** On-Th...

Re: Correctional Police Officer - NJDOC Exam

*** Just to create a historical record on this forum for NJDOC entry-level testing . . . In 2013, the NJDOC had a separate announcement and separate test through the NJCSC for the NJDOC only. Then, those who test for the NJDOC and also applied for the LEE exam held later in the year had their scores...
