So the NJ State Police are in the State Police Retirement System (SPRS). They're going to be accepting applications this April (2019), asking for another officer. If you're already enrolled in PFRS does your time transfer over or would you have to buy it back?!

The course consist of the testing of basic LE functions and...

If you're seeing two completely different psychologist, then no, they woul...

Re: Advice

Wait for a cert to come and then you'll have to choose if leaving your office job is worth leaving for a police officers job. Secondly to answers your question about working year round, it differs per de...

Re: How long to hear after the psych?

Almost all psychs are completed the same day, sometimes next day. Which means they have already contacted the appropriate personnel. Right now you're just waiting for them to finish everyone else, or someone to take their head out of their ass and move forward with the process.

Re: Nj police and fire pension

Age cutoff is 35. The day you start working is your start date, but you won't be enrolled until a few weeks / months later depending on how fast they process paperwork. If you're hired in September but they do not enroll you until December then you will be okay. If you're hired the day AFTER your bi...

Re: Gibbsboro Police Department

I did not even know they had a contract. Pretty sure you get paid around $14.00/hr. It's a stepping stone department. A lot of chiefs actually have left for patrolman positions because of the pay. Good place to learn though, almost no call volume and about 2 sq miles of road.
