In order to be eligible for PFRS pension you must be 35 years of age or younger, and yes there is a 30 year retirement for 65%. However, the state offers a 25 year special retirement at 60%. To be enrolled into PFRS you have to be 35 or younger. You can purchase your active-duty military time, however just be cautious it could get VERY expensive, sometimes $40,000.00. You cannot technically retire at 20 years of service anymore. What you would be doing is quitting your job and placing your pension on a "deferred retirement". In order to obtain a SLEO II you must be hired by an agency and they will send you through the academy. Sometimes these academies are extremely accelerated (shore town academies) or they're extremely lengthy (GCPD / CCPA). You cannot pay your own way though a SLEO academy, at least to my knowledge. ...

Not much experience with these offers, but NJ state police have never NOT been paid. Remember ICE did not get paid during the government shutdown. That's all I can offer. :lol:

Yes this happens all the time. Lets say for example a P/O top pay is $80,000. If you were promoted and you were at top pay you would get lets say 5% over would be $84,000 (New Sgt Pay). However on the flip side, if you're a P/O and you're only at $75,000, w/ a 5% increase you would be at $78,750. Th...
