For guys who have done both, in county sheriffs what do you prefer courts or the patrol division? And why ? And what is a day to day like in the court division?

More or less,I’m asking for a job description of the court house and what some people prefer about patrol vs what advantages the court has

I'm not 100% sure, but most people who work for the county sheriff's normally do court duty their first year or so. Then you have the opportunity to apply to another division. Those that stay in the court after that year, are normally guys ready to retire, or older employee's in my experience.
