The Harding Township Police Department is currently accepting applications from experienced New Jersey Police officers, recent NJ Police Academy graduates, and candidates currently enrolled in an alternate route program - for the position of Police Officer. SLEO certifications, able to be waived, may also be accepted during this application process.

Candidate qualifications include, but are not limited to:

Must possess a current New Jersey Police Training Commission certificate for basic course for police officers from an accredited New Jersey police academy, OR recently graduated from a NJ PTC basic course, OR currently enrolled in a NJ PTC basic course.
Must have United States Citizenship and New Jersey residency
Must be of good moral character and not convicted of any criminal offense
Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
These requirements are only minimum standards. Other factors such as military experience, college education, etc. are also considered.
The Harding Township Police Department selection process consists of:

Submission of a pre-employment application, cover letter, resume and PTC certificate (Or letter explaining your status)
Oral interviews
Background check
Medical/psychological exams/Urinalysis

Filing deadline is April 9, 2021. Interviews may start, on a rolling basis, prior to the deadline posted.
