The NJCSC generally takes 3 months from the last testing date. Since the last test date is July 14, 2022, the results will most likely be out mid to late October.
Thank you for the info.

2023 NJ LEE Information

Post by CCSTestPrep »

On March 1, 2023, the NJCSC announced a significant change in how the NJ LEE testing will proceed moving forward. The NJCSC opened the 2023 NJ LEE application period through March 31, 2023.

To help candidates, I put together an Alphabetical List of the Departments that are included in the 2023 NJ LEE testing cycle (as of 3-4-23):

https://www.ccstest.com/wp-content/uplo ... NJ-LEE.pdf

Here are some of the most notable changes:

- The application period is only open for a month (3/1/23 - 3/31/23) rather than the normal two-month application period.
- The previous 3-year NJ LEE cycle is now reduced to an annual cycle for jurisdictions that want more frequent testing.
- Only those jurisdictions that opted-in for re-testing this year are listed in the NJCSC application portal.
- Jurisdictions that are not listed as part of the 2023 NJ LEE announcement have chosen to continue with the list they have from the 2022 NJ LEE testing.
- If a jurisdiction is part of the 2023 announcement, then the results from the 2023 testing will fully replace the 2022 results for that jurisdiction once the 2023 results are released.
- Testing is being planned for the summer months.
- Just like in 2022, in 2023 candidates must apply individually for each title/jurisdiction for which the candidate wants to be eligible. Candidates MUST consider their residency when applying, as the candidate will only be eligible for the jurisdiction if they meet the residency listed on the announcement for that jurisdiction.
- Based on the 2023 announcement, it appears the NJCSC is going to leave it up to the individual jurisdiction/department to choose each year if they want to test. The jurisdiction will have the opportunity to simply extend their existing list for another year if they do not want a new list. There is a statutory limit (4-years) to list extensions, but the NJCSC will likely make jurisdictions/departments test in year three if the jurisdiction continues to extend their list for three years.

Candidates who tested in 2022 should go right to the NJCSC application portal and review the titles/jurisdictions to see if the list(s) they are currently on will be replaced by the 2023 NJ LEE cycle. If so, the candidate will need to test again this year to be on the list for that jurisdiction when the 2023 results come out.

Candidates who did not test in 2022 will now have an opportunity to take the NJ LEE, but only for those titles/jurisdictions listed on the NJCSC application portal.

The current listing of titles/jurisdictions can be found at:

https://info.csc.state.nj.us/jobannounc ... nt/JobList

Again, it is important to look at the "Open to residents of" column to see the residency requirements to be eligible.
